Scan to Print

Reverse Engineering offers the possibility to create exact replicas of existing physical objects. After acquiring the exact 3D geometry using scanning techniques, the obtained digital model can be manufactured employing 3D printing technologies.

3D Scanning

3D scanning technology can capture reality in a few seconds. Creating precise 360° 3D models using structured light scanning technology could enhance even more productivity and creativity. AMU possesses three different structural light 3D scanners, each offering a series of different capabilities.

  • HP 3D Structured Light Scanner Pro S3 (DAVID SLS-3) for small objects with accuracy 0.1mm
  • ARTEC EVA portable with an accuracy of 1mm
  • ARTEC LEO is wireless and portable with integrated edge computing and high capacity battery with an accuracy of 1mm

3D Laser Scanning

Laser Scanning enables to capture fast, straightforward and accurate measurements of complex objects and buildings. Laser 3D scanners create a point cloud of data from the surface of an object and it is used for measuring the dimensions of products.
